This privacy policy (the “Policy”) is intended exclusively for use of the Arcadia Earth EDU App (the “App”), owned and operated by Ethical Earth Ventures LLC and affiliates (“EEV”).  To the extent that this Policy and its terms conflict with any other policies which EEV maintains, whether on one or more of its websites or elsewhere, the terms contained within this Policy shall control.

The Arcadia Earth EDU App (the “App”) is intended for use by teachers and students. The App allows teachers to facilitate an augmented reality (“AR”) experience for students in a classroom, where students may simulate and analyze the effects of environmental pollutants.

Information We Collect

There is no account creation for teachers or students on the App.

We collect the teacher’s email address solely for the purpose of allowing teachers to access the App through their account on the Verizon Innovative Learning HQ portal.

Information We Collect from Children

We do not collect any other personal information from students.

User-Generated Content

Students may view their teacher’s uploaded videos and images during the session.

We do not record or store any user-generated content from students.

Geolocation Information

We do not collect any geolocation information.

Information We Share

We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information from users of the App for any commercial purpose.

We may disclose personal information (i) if we are required to do so by law or legal process (such as a court order), (ii) in response to a request by law enforcement authorities, or (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

We use Lyceum VR System SL to allow teachers to access the App through their account on the Verizon Innovative Learning HQ portal. We share teachers’ email addresses with Lyceum VR System SL to authenticate their account.

We share teachers’ email addresses with Verizon Innovative Learning HQ (https://www.verizon.com/about/privacy/) to authenticate their account.

We use Amazon Web Services (https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/) to create audio files as voice over, and Google Cloud Storage to store the content created and uploaded by users.

Content Retention

Teachers’ email addresses are retained for one (1) year, after which we erase them from our records.

Access and Correction

The App does not collect any personal information, except teachers’ email addresses.

Information Security

We maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access to personal information.

Our security measures include limiting access to personal information by authorized personnel, storing personal information in a secure environment, including behind firewalls, and maintaining security policies and protocols. Despite our best efforts, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information regarding personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes.
